Our Furry Protector

This is my latest layout for Ann at The Scrapbook Garden, using the Basic Grey 'Hello Luscious' papers. I've used Bazzill cardstock in Guacamole as my base, and pulled out the green, red and brown patterns from the paper pad.
I splashed the cardstock with some Adirondack alcohol ink in Clover, and then stamped some circles using a white acrylic paint dabber. The smaller circles were created by literally dabbing on the card, but the bigger circles were made using the lid from the dabber.
I punched some circles from the patterned papers and then layered a couple of bigger pieces under my photo.
The alphas are Cosmo Cricket Tiny Alphas, and two types of Thickers.
Donnie is our eldest cat, and he's the boss. He's not territorial in the strictest sense, he's not aggressive and he's not out looking for a fight all the time - but he is protective. On their first night of freedom after we fitted the cat flaps in the new house, Leela was say on the doorstep when she was confronted by a neighbourhood cat. The poor thing was petrified and didn't dare move, but then....Donnie to the rescue! He deliberately placed himself between Leela and the other cat, giving Leela the safety she needed to shoot back through the cat flap and into the house. Donnie then retreated to the doorstep himself, and maintained his defensive stance until the other cat got bored and went away. Our Furry Protector!
